"Such an interesting piece of decoration, this miniature alabaster mummy sarcophagus comes with an alabaster-made mummy inside. Sarcophagi have always been objects of interest and the earliest stone-made we have documented date from the 3rd Dynasty in Egypt, between 2686 to 2613 BC.
The miniature shows hieroglyphs painted on the surface, a common practice amongst the wealthy classes and nobles. Pharaohs' sarcophagi were the most beautifully decorated.
