Description de l'Égypte is one of the most splendid historical recounts of Egypt, describing in exquisite detail the customs, traditions, culture and secrets of Egypt spanning from ancient Egyptian civilization to the contemporary times. This prolific book was published in 1809-1829 and was composed by more than 150 prominent scholars who accompanied Napoleon during the late 18th century.
Naturally, we wanted to extract some of the drawings from this book that accurately capture the authenticity of the Egyptian identity throughout the millenniums. We fashioned some of these images onto this gorgeous table and painted it a cheerful blue, making it a truly one of a kind piece. This is an extraordinary piece of furniture to own for Egyptian history lovers.
