It is hand-made of Asersus wood, one of the best types of woods in the world. It is found widely in Upper Egypt and some areas of India. In Egypt, it is mostly found in Kom Ombo and Aswan. Asersus trees have very distinctive features, such as the height of the tree is around 25 cm and the widest area of the tree is around 180 cm. Asersus wood is characterized by its serve durability, beautiful colors and flexibility in transforming the plain woods into products.
Very natural Plate is made out of merely natural materials manually starting from trimming process until producing a unique product. Firstly, the fresh trunks are left between 2-4 years to be completely dry. Secondly, the rough trunk, and brunches are trimmed by hands carefully to be smooth surface. Then the trunk is cut into slices of different thickness, depending on the usage of the slice. After that, the slices are shaped in the needed shape according to the handcraftsmen's imagination. Finally, the shaped-product is painted with glass paint for a shiny effect and also for saving the product from being effected by temperature or and natural effects.
