Rustic Wooden Plant Pot/Candle Holder That’ll Give a Warm Touch to Your Home (6.7" D, 3" H)

This rustic wooden plant pot is carved out of a real tree trump, showcasing the natural wooden grain. This lovely cup can serve as a small planter for a delicate array of flowers or a simple, vintage candle holder. It is gently hand-carved out of stunning Asersus Wood, native to Aswan, Egypt’s southernmost city. It has a glossy, rustic finish, highlighting the beautiful natural grain of this unique type of wood. The wood has been treated with natural oils and covered with a thin layer of glass paint for a gorgeous lustrous finish and for full protection from any sort of deterioration. Its natural wood tone will add a lovely, rustic accent to any space.

This planter or candle holder is hand-made by Egyptian talented craftsmen in our workshops in Cairo. It is crafted of Asersus wood, a wood that is worldwide known for its serve durability, beautiful colors and the fantastic natural shapes of the tree itself. Asersus trees are found in some areas of India and Egypt. It is especially found in Kom Ombo and Aswan in Egypt. The Asersus wood undergoes a long process of hand-working in order to transfer the plain wood to a beautiful product. Firstly, the trunks are left for 4 years to dry completely. Secondly, the trunks are trimmed for a smoother surface. Thirdly, the trunks are cut into slices in different thicknesses. Finally, the slices are made into the final product shapes.
