Horus Statue

From the emergence of the first kings in Egypt at around 3000 BC, the ruler was thought to be the earthly manifestation of Horus, the ancient Egyptian god of divine kingship. King Horus statues in the form of a falcon or with a human body with a falcon head were erected and displayed in temples as part of the royal cult.
